I’ve watching aesthetic videos and dressing thing for a few months now, and the conclution that I came out with, is that almost nothing that the videos have told me, works for me, just because my style and my clothing expression is not the modern and usual one. I just wanted to say to everyone struggling to find a place into modern aesthetics, that it’s not about wearing essentials and going for the safe stuff, to me at least it’s about all the opposite.
I like 60s, 70s and 90s fashion, so I mix them up all the time. I may end up with a hippie slacker grunge skater vibe, and the next day a Bowie surfer casual one. There are no rules and no blueprint for what you have to do when you have things clear in your head as to what you want to express yourself. I’d say just focus on the colors and your color palette and that’s it. I haven’t worn a hoodie in well over 6 years, I like sweaters and that’s it, just as an example.
I like this video cause it encapsulates this thoughts, and everything just comes down to: what you want. And if you don’t know what you want, search for people who styles you may like and start from there. Do your thing my man
